Unfortunately we do not offer bitumen removal on the small finger parquet blocks!
Traditional Bitumen Removal Service
The extent of bitumen removal from the underside of parquet flooring blocks can vary depending on the condition of each individual batch.
In the majority of cases, where the bitumen is dry and brittle, we are able to remove a significant portion—often the vast majority—using our specialised equipment and refined techniques.
Pricing
Our traditional bitumen removal service is priced from £35.00 per square metre.
Please note: All prices are subject to a preliminary inspection of the flooring blocks to assess condition and confirm the scope of work.

Non-Traditional Bitumen Removal
In instances where traditional bitumen removal methods are not effective, we offer alternative solutions to ensure the highest standard of restoration. These methods are typically required when the bitumen has modern adhesive stuck to it, or the bitumen is flexible, tacky, or remains soft beneath a seemingly dry surface.
When this is the case, our team will first manually remove the bulk of the bitumen by hand. This process is more labour-intensive and may incur a premium charge due to the additional time and effort involved. Once the majority of the bitumen has been removed manually, the blocks are treated using our specialist machinery to complete the cleaning process.
The result is a significantly improved finish—leaving the underside of the blocks clean and ready for reinstallation, closely resembling their original condition.
Please note: Pricing for non-traditional removal methods will be confirmed following inspection and assessment of the block condition.

The second phase of the non-traditional removal process eliminates up to 99.9% of bitumen, leaving the underside of each block with an appearance that is almost like new. However, in certain cases, some types of bitumen may have penetrated deeper into the timber, potentially leaving a light stain.

Pricing
Prices for non-traditional bitumen removal start from approximately £40.00 per square metre, reflecting the additional time and manual labour involved in this process.
Final pricing is subject to inspection and assessment of the block condition.
Adhesive, Concrete & Debris Removal
In some cases, parquet blocks may have concrete, modern adhesives, or other forms of debris adhered to the underside. This material can still be successfully removed; however, it typically requires a more labour-intensive, manual cleaning process.
As such, an additional premium may apply to the removal cost. This preparatory work is carried out prior to either traditional or non-traditional bitumen removal, ensuring the blocks are properly cleaned and restored for reuse.
Pricing for this service is confirmed upon inspection of the blocks and the type of material present.
